This booklet from Sigma Xi is a very good booklet dealing with ethical practices in research—what to be valued or encouraged, and what to be avoided or discouraged—among undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, junior and senior faculty, deans and chairs, and researchers in government, industry, and NGOs. The text is interspersed with interesting quotations from authoritative voices giving insight on what is a good practice and even lamenting on the current landscape of scientific research. This booklet helps to create awareness of the intricacies pertaining to the vocation of a researcher. I wish this booklet is made a compulsory reading in every graduate program.
